Juggling

JUGGLING
Bottle? Or circus balls? Neither

It’s about our daily chores, and any unexpected tasks delegated to us. It’s all about time and work… and the management of time, of course.

At times, i feel so stressed out when i am fulfilling one-by-one the chores in the fully-packed time table. It has a greater impact on me when the things i do are highly-expected by others… and if i dont do it well, it’s going to be my fault, or my problem.

And what next? Of course back to my scheduled tasks! On and on i go, at the end of the day, i’ll think, why did i do all these things? What is my ultimate purpose? To be a student?? To be peoples’ servant? To evangelize? Or just for the sake of filling up my time??

I am not too sure about that. But all i have to know is that i want to strike a balance between my co-co and studies.. and also at the same time set aside an amount of time for God.

PRIORITIZE … that’s it..

class soon… bye all…

It’s Another Season Coming

December 3rd, 2006 by darrylng

I really cant deny that time flies. In fact, it flies faster than the speed of light. Another semester is ending and the day i was registered for primary school seemed to happen yesterday. Even worse, it seems like i am new in Inti.

This is my second time writing a blog on the first day of exam, having a mix feeling of happiness and anxiety, and even sadness. After exam, i have many plans for sem holiday, but Timothy if leaving for Johor and i know all this will happen sooner or later to all my friends. And also one of my lecturer will not be teaching us anymore next semester. **sigh..

But life goes on, and i wish that all of you will have a bright future and may God bless you abundantly in life…

Going for exam now. See you all during holidays.

Solemn

And tears.

I felt so helpless when i saw my primary school teacher crying today, when i visited her at a shoplot, somewhere in Seremban. She was sitting about a few metres away from her husband, now a lifeless and blueish body, lying in a coffin. He died of pancrease cancer and left behind his two daughters and a broken-hearted wife. I couldnt help but to feel sorry for her, and i tend to put myself in her shoes, feeling shattered and speechless.

While at the same time my dad sms me that he arrived Bangkok safely, about to begin one of the exciting trip of his lifetime. And i thought, there are people who celebrates (at the same moment) new life, new born babies. And this could be what we call life. It involves birth and death. (DENNIS would be calling me a philosopher by now) But there are many times in my life where i find myself not fulfilling my purpose on life. And that i have not love those around me enough to let them go one day. In another words, i will definitely feel guilty of not loving and cherishing those around me enough when they leave the world. And i guess i am not late in saying : "I love you, dad and mom. No matter how you treat me or think of me, i cherish you."

You may feel i am too emotional or stupid, always talking bout life, but when you see a woman with tears rolling down her cheeks profusely and holding a damp hankerchief as what i’ve seen today, i think most of you will agree with me.

"Lord, may you comfort her and her children, and give her shelter when they need you most."

Dont judge the book by its cover

October 23rd, 2006 by darrylng

Ive nothing to write, and i am so darn boring… so i guess i should write some idioms which could serve us as a guide in our lives eh..

"an apple a day, keeps the bacteria away, and hence the dentist."

"all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

"blind leading the blind."

"eat drink, and be merry."

"live by the sword, die by the sword."

"money is the root of all evil."

"nothing is certain but death and taxes."

"look before you jump."

"Spare the rode, spoil the child."

"you are what u eat."

"finger linkin’ good!"

and the most thrilling and exciting phrase ever cr8ed:

"lecetra … fijigal …. jiro…" (actually that’s not a phrase) - No doubt!

TRUST ME.. sienz..   =.=

Today’s lesson (Powerful Prayer)

October 11th, 2006 by darrylng

Today, my physics teacher was a lil’ upset with some students’ attitude towards learning. And he said : "You are old enough to marry, and yet you are acting immaturedly…" So, anyone, my pal, plans to have a wed this year end? Must inform me k?

Later today, as usual, there is CF gathering for inti students. I learned about the power of prayer.

At first, we were asked to play two games, where someone will be given a word, and what others have to do is to guess what word it is. All the person can do is say "yes" or "no", no actions, no descriptions. Then, after that, we were divided into pairs and are all blind folded. Using the wall as our guide, we were ordered to move ourselves to a ground floor sidewalk cafe. (of coz it’s closed, it 8:00pm!) We groped our way through, then when we reach the destination, one of us are required to take off the blindfold, and carry another person up 2 stairs. The one being blind-folded carry the one without blind fold. We steered our way through, then exchange, go down one floor and return to the hall.

So, now, how is it related to our prayers?

Actually, there are a few things that I’ve learned. First, according to Matthew 6:5-13, when we pray, we should go into our rooms, find a secluded place behind closed doors and pray to our heavenly Father. Sometimes, it’s hard to even be alone, because behind each closed doors there is a labyrinth of virtual world-the internet, with all your friends just one click away. However, it’s practically hard for us to even find a quiet time for our Lord nowadays. Secondly, when we pray, we do not have to shout or repeat (is it called babble?) coz God is not deaf and it says in Mathew 6, God knows what we are praying even before we pray! You dont have to speak in flowery words when praying. Be direct and to-the-point. Thirdly, Matthew 6:9, pray : "Our Father in heaven, hallowed we thy name…" Pray calling Him your Father, although some may not have a good relationship with your fathers, but it’s not impossible to build a close tie between you and God. So as to say that anyone having a better bond with your fathers can understand better because there is TRUSTWORTHINESS amongst. Just like the game we played, we have to trust each other because if one falls, another falls too. Hence, a good relationship with faith is very important between our heavenly Father and us, because that is when the power of prayer comes. Jesus too, prayed to His Father in heaven. Matthew 26:36-39 He prayed O My Father….

Jesus paid a price for us. Our salvation is free, but it doesnt come cheap. He carried us on His shoulders, and we need the "trust" to journey on. We should be faithful to Him and shall not take Him for granted. Prayer is not just a list of "wants", but we must always remember that God loves us and consistently calls on us, not because we deserve the salvation, rather it’s because He loves us and He will never let go of us.

His words is our spirits’ food, and prayer is a time where we communicate with our heavenly Father. No matter how hard it is, let us not forget to set aside a portion of our daily time for Him.

Paul Oakley - Search me, O God,
                         And know my heart,
                         Know all my thoughts and my ways;
                         Cleanse me, O God,
                         Give me a pure heart,
That I may see Your face.

Air Q dropping

October 4th, 2006 by darrylng

I guess everyone disagrees with me.. the air quality nowadays have dropped significantly. Let me summarize some of the factors that contributed to this special phenomenon :

* Chee Hang farts too much, methane gas (volume of earth is negligible if compared) released

* Priscilla pulls leaves out that helps to clean the air

* Dennis helped Priscilla in POISONING CHOPPING trees that helps clean the air

* Woo’s bad breathe realeased all day round

* Zheng Wei’s sweat vapourizes with some content of acids (contributed to the acid rain)

* Laskhmi forgot to bathe, air within 5 metres from her is polluted … (with gas that faints people)

* Jovie’s shirt not washed since he bought it

* Teck Hong starts tying her hair up, foul smell coming from beneath her layers of hair

* Joey stopped DARRYL from breathing that filters the air

* Natalie bathed, but the water that flow out evaporates into carsinogenic gases

* Kuan Sim left his originally blue shoes green black

* Lui D-T = mc^2 that causes dirty gases molecules darting in high speed randomly

* Feridson IS our hero (as in Zoulou, Supperman), he closed his mouth for us…. "the u-konw-what gas contained inside his mouth that saves our lives"

* Keng Wei’s computer’s fan fitted with ammonia sprayer

* Kee Fei sprays a 2 milimetre ant with 2 cans canisters of Sheltox® attack

* Kok Yew forgot to fluch the toilet after pooing

* Tong Chin burns $$$money$$$ openly

* Punitha dance too vigorously, took up all a lot of oxygen

* Yi Ming not only has too much laughing gas, but release them to others too (for your info, laughing gas contains NO)

* Mathini studies too hard that ends up burning those books with her eyes

* Jee Wei goes back to Seremban everyday forcing the bus to use moer petrol, hence more CO, CO2, C…. banyakla.

* Kerry addicted to dota and hence forgot to clean her smelly room

* Rosh spits her saliva on the ground (contributing to haze)

* Daphne left her unfinished 100-litre whiskey under the sun that eventually evaporated quickly (alcohol u know, pengsan tau?)

AND NOT FORGETTING MS. VOON’S COLD WIND THAT HELPS TO BRING THE BAD GASES PARTICLES AWAY FROM OUR GALAXY… (STRONG WIND HUH?) .. COLD… ~.~ SHIVERS ~.~

*Terms and conditions applied

*All subjects that volunteered in this survey are from Mars and Venus, doing a research towards the earth..

** Sorry for those people’s name who are not in here… anyway, u dont want to be in a list that pollutes the air!!! haha

**Disclaimers - These are my opinions, and anyone that cannot stand my views can press ALT-F4 or just turn of the power supply to your computer. No offence k.. ; )

Paradox.. oxymoron

September 30th, 2006 by darrylng

Our lives are full of paradox and oxymorons… and may be i can explain this through the following sentence:

"the strength of a weak tie"

It fits perfectly for friendships. I was relunctant to write this in detail, but for the sake of anyone reading this, i had to create a situation where this comes to play its part.

Say, for example, there is a person who wants to find a job. According to the statistics, most ppl get recommendations of jobs from their acquaintance, not their best friends. This is very true when most of your closer friends have the same interest as u do and your acquaintances are probably good in other sectors that u are not familiar with. So, it is clear that there is indeed a strength unforetold/unseen/not noticed in a weak tie. I dont really know how to explain this, but u may just take a few minutes to think about your life, are there such situations? i am sure there are, at least one.

Here, i am trying to stress that sometimes we somehow neglete our acquaintances, but remember, they are the ones who are most helpful, although not always, when u face a crisis. Nevertheless, a weak tie is never as strong as a tie between good friends. And it takes us effort and commitment to keep that tie strong. However, when compared, it’s the stronger tie that will hurt u more when something happens between the two subjects.. and i am sure, no one hopes that a strong tie deteriorates, more so broken.

Same applies to the tie between us and God. We must take the effort to continue an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us not take God for granted and remember that prayer heals…

take care everyone. All my acquaintance and my caring friends. thank you so much that at least, u were part of my life. Once. thank you
